We pride ourselves at the Hope Tavern on  a growing reputation for providing a selection of good real ales and ciders,excellent wines and quality home cooked food at exceptional value and all presented in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.

Our hugely varied menu will cater for everyone's tastes, from the excellent carvery, lunchtime snack menu and the Evening al a carte menu.

Our style is English Style  Country cooking with an emphasis on using the best of ingredients and whilst it is now fashionable to promote the use of local produce, this has been a policy of Chef/Patron Graeme Sellers since taking over the Hope in 1996. Most of the produce used originates from within a twenty mile radius, indeed many of the producers/farmers are regular patrons of the Hope Tavern.

Fresh Fish is selected and collected from Grimsby Docks twice a week with the pick of the catch appearing on the Tavern Specials Board at the Weekend - Fish fans are in for a treat, particularly at weekends but Fish and Chip Specials are available at lunchtimes throughout the week.
