The Original Sunday Blues – The Brian Rawson Band
The Brian Rawson Band

Sunday 1st June 2025 – 4.30
Now based in Glasgow, Brian became known as the guitarist with Belfast band, The Tearjerkers (Good Vibrations/Phonogram) who toured with Thin Lizzy, Dexy’s Midnight Runners, Doll by Doll and Rachel Sweet and recorded with several high-profile producers such as John Astley and Phil Chapman (Eric Clapton), Chris Hughes (Adam and The Ants, Tears for Fears, Robert Plant, Peter Gabriel) and Laurence Juber (Wings/Al Stewart).
Following the break-up of the Tearjerkers, he relocated to London where he played guitar with Jimmy Bain (Rainbow/Wild Horses/Dio) before relocating to the U.S. where he played guitar on American singer/songwriter Jon Lacabanne’s album “Amen”, The Groove Monsters debut album and Gary Stipe and Whiskey Hill’s E.P.
Upon returning to Ireland, he recorded all the guitars on Deidre Cunningham’s album “Sunny Days” and took time out to visit the US again to play a one-off gig in Nashville with “Handsome” Mick Rowe’s band, “Nineteen88” before returning to the UK where he joined Brian Connolly in “Sweet” for a UK tour.
He now travels as a four piece covering Scotland and Ireland with a rare visit to the south. This is your chance to catch him whilst he’s down here.
We start at 4.30 and the Door Charge is £12.
