The John Verity Band

One of the most consistent performers on the blues rock circuit today, having honed his craft over more than 60 years on the circuit at every level.

Born in West Yorkshire he played in many bands in the area and beyond before moving to Florida where he opened for Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, Mountain and others, then on his return to the UK, taking a somewhat different direction this time as front man with Argent.

When Argent disbanded John spent time primarily playing guitar in various local groups around Bradford until he was invited to join the ‘Richard Kent Style’, living and working in the US, they supported many of the big names of the day including Jimi Hendrix, Mountain, Canned Heat, Savoy Brown, and Janis Joplin.

The next few years were spent in recording studios throughout the world, producing, playing guitar, or doing backup vocals with acts including Motorhead, Tank, Ringo Starr, Russ Ballard, Colin Blunstone, Brian Connolly, John Parr, BowWowWow and The Searchers.

After over sixty years in the business, John is still writing, recording, and performing back out on the road with his own band featuring Paul Burgess (10CC) and Dan Holyoak experiencing a musical renaissance.
